When to come

Two trips, one place

Plan your trip
  1. Summer

    Mid-June to mid-August

Daylight until almost midnight, open trails, the park buses running, and wildflowers everywhere.

  2. Fall

    Late August to September

The tundra turns red and gold, the crowds thin out, and the first dark nights bring the northern lights.

  3. Winter

    October to March

Snow, sled dogs, and the longest, darkest nights for the aurora. Cold, and worth it.
